MISSION
The Education and Social Science Library (ESSL) provides consistent, high quality research and instructional services to students and faculty in the College of Education, the School of Social Work, and the Departments of Anthropology, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Speech Communication and Women and Gender Studies, as well as to other members of the community. ESSL develops and maintains subject-specific and special collections in a variety of formats to support the present and future information needs of these programs and related departments. Using an array of technologies and resources, ESSL serves as a gateway to information for researchers on campus and at a distance. In conjunction with the mission of the University and Library policies, ESSL extends its collections and services to individuals in the State of Illinois and beyond.
