It provides links to various Slovenian educational institutions from schools to universities to institutes. There are also extensive links to educational tools for students and teachers. GenealogyOne of the best web sites for Eastern European genealogy is the FEEFHS (Federation of East European Family History Societies) which is described in our General Resources section. Be sure to consult their section on Slovenia. Cyndi's List is large general genealogy site that includes information on East European countries.

There are links to the sites of ministries and government agencies and information on elections and members of the government. The text of the constitution can be found at this site as well as press releases dating back as far as 1997. The search engine component on the site gives different results depending on whether Slovene fonts are used or not. If you enter the search terms "database" and "laws", you will get links to searchable databases for laws, laws in draft, sessions of the Assembly and other legal documents. This site offers basic information on the president and the presidential palace and an unusual section with political cartoons in which the president is featured. Also available here are the texts of his speeches, statements, and press releases. There are even video clips of some of his speeches. A nice feature to this site is that items available only on the Slovene version of the site are clearly indicated. This site provides all kinds of data on Slovenia from economic indicators to demographic figures. The latest version of the Statistical Yearbook can be downloaded in .pdf or .zip formats. There is also a Statistical Data Bank (currently only in Slovene and German) that allows searching of various topics and produces tables of data on those topics.
